About Dr.
Martin Lyden
Dr. Lyden is a
New York State Licensed
Psychologist, with over 30 years in
independent practice. He earned
Ph.D. and M.S.
degrees from the University at Albany,
M.A.T. from the University of the South,
and B.A. Cum Laude from Marist College.
His other credentials

- Certification in Rational Emotive
Therapy
- Certification in Clinical Hypnosis
- Approved Consultant in Clinical
Hypnosis
- Certification in Ericksonian Hypnosis
- Certification in Neurolinguistic
Programming
Dr. Lyden is active in professional
associations. He was elected President
of the Psychological Association of Northeastern New York
for two terms (1987-1988 and 2007-2008) and received its President's
Award. He is a
long-term member of the American
Psychological Association, the New York State Psychological
Association, and the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis.

He has
published eight journal articles since 2003. He has presented over
30 papers at professional conferences.
Often Dr. Lyden
has consulted on projects for human service organizations.
Dr. Lyden has regularly provided consultation or expert testimony
for court cases concerning persons with intellectual or mental
disabilities.
Originally
from New York City, Dr. Lyden has lived in the Capital District of
New York State for many years. He is married and has a son.
