Services
For over 30 years Dr. Lyden
has been providing counseling and assessment services to
individuals (including college students and faculty), couples, and families. Dr. Lyden has had extensive
experience in the fields of developmental disabilities, mental
illness, and education. He also
provides consultation and training for
human service agencies, business, governmental agencies, and
healthcare facilities.
While he provides psychological services for many disorders, his
special interests include:
treatment of anxiety and stress and
posttraumatic stress
treatment of depression, which is
long-standing or of recent onset, including reactions to grief and
loss
assessment and treatment of attention
deficit disorder
hypnosis treatment for
smoking, overeating, anxiety, depression, pain, and posttraumatic
stress
treatment for
relationship and family problems
evaluation of
capacity to give consent for persons with impaired cognitive
functioning, such as dementia or developmental disabilities
expert testimony in court cases concerning
persons with developmental disabilities or mental illness
